July 2, 2011 – 11:42 pmBill Hughett started as Lockland athletic director July 1 and the 1995 Lakota High School graduate said he is looking forward to his first year leading the athletic department.
Hughett, who is completing his Masters in Administration at the University of Dayton this summer, started teaching science at Lockland last year. He previously coached wrestling at Chaminade-Julienne and was an assistant at Lakota West.
Hughett, 34, said he is encouraged by the outlook at Lockland this upcoming school year. He noted that Lockland does not have pay-to-participate fees.
I want to see growth in the programs, said Hughett, a 2001 Miami University graduate. Continued success if not more success. My hope is we continue to educate our students through our athletic programs.
